Birding at Fort Clark Springs
Yet another treasure of Fort Clark is the birdlife. Having identified over 250 species here, Fort Clark Springs earns the designation of a National Bird Sanctuary. Fort Clark Birders is a local organization available to anyone on any level who is interested in birds.
Through the volunteer efforts of a group lead by Ian Zorn, a Winter Texan who resides in Canada the other half of the year, a bird viewing blind was built to allow folks to get a closer look without disturbing the birds as they swim in a nearby body of water.
